When an emergency happens in Kensington, our volunteers don’t hesitate. They show up, no matter what they have going on in their own lives. But balancing school, work, and service isn’t easy. Last year, with support from the Town of Kensington, we launched the KVFD Tuition Assistance Program so members don’t have to choose between protecting this community and building their future.
Your donation helps ensure they can keep doing both.
Whether it’s a student working toward a degree, a parent advancing their career, or a community member gaining life-saving certifications, your support makes it possible. In 2025, four members participated in the program. For 2026, we hope to expand support to six volunteers, but we cannot get there without you. Give today and stand behind those who give their time to protect Kensington.

“Everyone at the station has always been incredibly supportive and accommodating, which has helped me balance my service commitments with my coursework. Receiving support through the scholarship means a great deal, allowing me to continue serving in a role I care deeply about while pursuing my education and future career.”
